The client was located remotely, which meant every step of the process needed a careful approach to communication. We managed surveys, site reviews, and updates virtually, keeping them involved at every stage. Regular video meetings allowed them to shape decisions and watch their ideas take form. This remote collaboration became a key part of the project, building trust and ensuring the final design reflected their lifestyle and vision.
📐 Tackling Complex Site Constraints
The site came with tight boundaries, height restrictions, and sensitive neighbouring properties. Rather than seeing these as obstacles, we treated them as a framework for creative solutions. Every element of the design was carefully considered, from positioning windows for light and privacy to shaping the building form so it respected its surroundings. The result is a home that feels spacious and thoughtful despite its modest footprint.
🌞 Light, Space, and Comfort in a Compact Home
One of the biggest transformations was how the design maximised light and openness. Vaulted ceilings create a feeling of height, while carefully placed windows flood the interiors with natural daylight. Even areas that are often overlooked, such as storage spaces, were designed to feel bright and functional. Every square metre was used deliberately, making the home feel larger than it is while providing a sense of comfort and calm.
