80. Code of Conduct Policy
80.1. The purpose of this policy is to define the standards of behaviour expected from all employees at Architecture North Ltd.
80.1.1. It ensures a professional, ethical, and safe work environment while protecting the company’s reputation and fostering positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
80.2. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and temporary staff while they are engaged in work on behalf of Architecture North Ltd, whether on-site, at client locations, or remotely.
80.3. Employees are expected to:
80.3.1. Professionalism - Conduct themselves professionally in all interactions, maintaining integrity, honesty, and accountability.
80.3.2. Respect - Treat colleagues, clients, and partners with dignity, courtesy, and fairness.
80.3.3. Compliance - Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
80.3.4. Confidentiality - Protect confidential information about the company, clients, and projects.
80.3.5. Integrity - Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any situations that could compromise impartiality or trust.
80.3.6. Health and Safety - Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
80.3.7. Diversity and Inclusion - Respect and support diversity, promoting equality and preventing discrimination or harassment.
80.3.8. Responsible Use of Company Resources - Use company equipment, digital platforms, and materials responsibly and for work purposes only.
80.4. Expected Behaviours
80.4.1. Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
80.4.2. Communicate respectfully in all forms of correspondence.
80.4.3. Uphold the company’s brand and reputation in client interactions, public forums, and online platforms.
80.4.4. Follow instructions from management and cooperate with colleagues to achieve project and company objectives.
80.4.5. Report unethical behaviour, bullying, harassment, or breaches of company policy through the appropriate channels.
80.5. Employees must not:
80.5.1. Engage in harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
80.5.2. Use company resources for personal gain or illegal activities.
80.5.3. Disclose confidential information without authorisation.
80.5.4. Engage in conflicts of interest without disclosure.
80.5.5. Consume alcohol or illegal substances during working hours or on company premises.
80.6. Reporting Breaches
80.6.1. Employees should report any suspected breaches of this policy to their line manager, or via the company’s designated reporting channels.
80.6.2. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.
80.6.3. Retaliation against employees making a genuine report is strictly prohibited.
80.7. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including:
80.7.1. Verbal or written warnings
80.7.2. Suspension
80.7.3. Termination of employment
80.7.4. Legal action, where applicable
