Device Battery Charge Policy
56. Device Battery Charge Policy.
56.1. This policy aims to promote the proper care and maintenance of company-issued electronic devices, including laptops, iPads, and mobile phones, to ensure optimal battery performance, extend battery lifespan, and maintain device reliability.
56.1.1. Proper battery management helps prevent unexpected device shutdowns, reduces wear on battery components, and supports overall productivity.
56.2. This policy applies to all employees issued with company electronic devices such as laptops, tablets (iPads), and mobile phones.
56.3. Employees must ensure their devices are regularly charged and avoid allowing the battery to fully discharge (run flat), as deep discharges can degrade battery health.
56.4 Devices should not be kept plugged in continuously after reaching full charge.
56.4.1. Overcharging can generate excess heat and reduce battery efficiency over time.
56.5. For best battery longevity, aim to keep device batteries between approximately 20% and 80% charged whenever possible.
56.6. Charge devices throughout the workday as needed to maintain a consistent power level and avoid sudden loss of functionality.
56.7 If devices will not be used for extended periods, it is recommended to store them with a partial charge (around 50%) and disconnect from power sources.
56.8. Employees are expected to follow these charging guidelines to help preserve device battery health.
56.9. Employees are expected to report any battery or charging issues promptly to Management for assistance.
56.10. Employees are expected to avoid using uncertified chargers or accessories that may harm the battery.
56.11. For questions, troubleshooting, or support related to device battery care, please contact Management.
