68. Environmental and Sustainability Policy
68.1. Architecture North recognises its responsibility to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices.
68.1.1. This policy sets out our commitment to minimising environmental impact, conserving natural resources, and embedding sustainability into our projects, operations, and decision-making processes.
68.2. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and business operations, including project design, procurement, office management, and site visits.
68.3. Employees are expected to:

68.3.2. Prioritise designs that optimise energy efficiency, natural lighting, and ventilation.
68.3.3. Recommend the use of sustainable, recycled, or responsibly sourced materials.
68.3.4. Consider the whole-life carbon impact of design decisions.
68.3.5. Reduce energy consumption across all offices and work locations.
68.3.6. Use energy-efficient lighting, heating, and appliances.
68.3.7. Encourage digital file sharing and reduce paper usage through paperless workflows.
68.3.8. Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and best practice guidelines.
68.4. Management is expected to oversee implementation of this policy and ensure adequate resources are provided.
