64. Remote and Hybrid Working Policy
64.1 The purpose of this policy is to outline the approach Architecture North Ltd takes to support flexible working arrangements, including remote and hybrid work.
64.1.1. We are committed to promoting work-life balance, maintaining productivity, and fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
64.2 This policy applies to all employees who are eligible for or have been granted remote or hybrid working arrangements, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.
64.3 Definitions:
64.3.1. Remote Working: Working entirely away from the studio or primary office location (e.g., from home or another approved site).
64.3.2. Hybrid Working: A mix of working both remotely and in the studio as agreed upon with your line manager.
64.3.3. Studio-Based Working: Employees who are expected to work predominantly from the company’s premises.
64.4. Not all roles are suitable for remote or hybrid working due to project or client requirements.
64.4.1. Employees must seek approval from their line manager to work remotely or on a hybrid basis.
64.4.2. Arrangements will be reviewed periodically to ensure they continue to meet business needs.
64.5. Employees must adhere to agreed working hours and be available during core business hours unless otherwise agreed.
64.5.1. Attendance at studio-based meetings, client site visits, or team sessions may be required regardless of remote status.
64.5.2. Any changes to availability (e.g., illness, personal appointments) must be communicated to your manager in advance.
64.6. Employees must remain reachable during working hours via email, phone, and internal chat platforms.
64.6.1. Regular team meetings, check-ins, and workflow updates are mandatory.
64.6.2. Use company-approved platforms (e.g., Cal.com) for meetings and scheduling.
64.7. Employees must ensure their remote work environment is safe, secure, and suitable for work.
64.7.1. Employees are responsible for maintaining their equipment and reporting technical issues promptly.
64.8. All company data must be handled securely when working remotely.
64.8.1. Employees must not download confidential files to personal devices or use unsecured networks.
64.8.2. Physical documents should be securely stored and returned to the studio as required.
64.9. Employees will be assessed on outcomes, communication, and task completion—regardless of location.
64.9.1. Regular reviews will ensure performance remains aligned with team and project goals.
64.9.2. Any productivity concerns may lead to a reassessment of the remote or hybrid arrangement.
64.10. Employees must:

64.10.3. Participate fully in team and project activities
64.11. Managers must:
64.11.1. Set clear expectations and performance goals
64.11.2. Ensure inclusive communication with remote/hybrid team members.
64.11.3. Review and adjust working arrangements as needed.
64.12. This policy will be reviewed annually or in response to operational, legal, or technological changes.
64.12.1. Managers retain the right to alter or revoke remote or hybrid arrangements where business needs change or if policy conditions are not met.
