Project Story
This project was all about unlocking potential in a property with unusual constraints. Positioned beneath a two-storey dwelling, the home originally felt dark and compartmentalised. Our role was to reimagine the layout and extend the footprint to create a residence that is open, well-connected, and filled with natural light.
Two private courtyards became central to the design. The first now houses a spacious extension for an open-plan kitchen and dining area, seamlessly linking indoors and outdoors. The second courtyard acts as a peaceful threshold, leading to a purpose-built office at the rear of the plot. Together, they transform the way light, flow, and connection work throughout the home.
On the lower level, two large bedrooms were designed with walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms, providing comfort and privacy while maintaining a strong sense of flow across the property. Every detail, from circulation to zoning, was refined to ensure the home feels calm, functional, and contemporary.
